Five people from the Valley church family joined with about 140 people from across the country in rebuilding projects in Chalmette, Louisiana June 3 through 8. Charles and Beth Dunning, Wayne Fischer, Shirley Chilsen, and Pastor Larry were joined by Jerry Wallace, Jeff Paltzer, and Duane Rettler to round out the Valley Team.

The work included restoring the sanctuary and rebuilding an educational building for the First Baptist Church of Chalmette damaged and destroyed by hurricane Katrina. Work was also done on rebuilding the pastor's home and restoring the interior of a church member's home.
